Projects

Systems we built, and what they do

From the Port of Ashdod to a student housing platform in dozens of European cities: business systems, SaaS products and apps that we specify, build and support ourselves.

What we built, for whom, and how it works

For each project: the client, the problem, what the system does and the technologies behind it. Client names appear only with their consent.

Container discharge and loading planning and control system

The system runs the full life of a voyage: it takes in plan files from shipping lines, agents and the port, reconciles them, builds the discharge and loading plans, supports the tallymen on board with tablets, and produces the reports and EDI files for agents, port and vessel.

  • Windows management application, Android tablet app and a secured API layer
  • Intake and validation of BAPLIE (EDIFACT) files, manifests and port lists
  • Graphical vessel plan with weight, height and dangerous goods warnings
  • Work on board continues offline and syncs when the connection returns

TopContracts and TopKnowledge: contracts, suppliers and organizational knowledge

A modular web system that started as contract management and grew to manage any entity in an organization: contracts, suppliers, machines, procedures and knowledge. Every item type is built from configuration, without code, and a license key sets which modules run in each installation.

  • Dynamic data model: field groups, tables inside an item, shared catalogues and calculated fields with a formula editor and calculation engine
  • Three-layer permissions: per item, by role and organizational unit, and by item type and section
  • Search with AND, OR and exact-phrase syntax that recognizes dates and numbers and also searches inside Word and PDF files
  • Excel reports from templates with placeholders, and automatic reports on a Cron schedule sent by email
  • Statuses with transition rules and escalations, sequential or parallel approval rounds, document versions and digital signature on a Comsign server
  • Word and PDF documents generated through the DocsRobot API, and Excel import and export of items and catalogues
  • Hebrew and English interface, and a background service that bundles alerts into a daily email and handles escalations

A commercial kitchen supplying schools and a shop, 2016

Ba-Bari: commercial kitchen management system

A system that runs the whole workflow of a food production kitchen: purchasing from suppliers, goods receipt, customer orders, daily production planning, stock by warehouse, and deliveries with invoices. At its core is a three-level recipe model that drives the quantity and cost calculations.

  • Three-level recipes: ingredients, intermediate elements nested to any depth, and products, with a waste percentage per ingredient
  • Recurring orders by weekday, with exception dates such as holidays, alongside one-off orders
  • Daily production planning that calculates quantities from the orders, by how many days ahead each product may be made, and subtracts what is already in stock
  • Cost range for every product, from the cheapest and most expensive supplier prices, including waste and the cost of the production process
  • Purchase orders, sales orders and delivery invoices as PDF, and stock by warehouse and storage section
  • Responsive Hebrew right-to-left interface built on consistent page templates

Jinni: a marketplace matching people who need a service with those who provide it

A platform where users describe in free text what they are looking for or what they offer. The system analyses the text, identifies the trade or service and creates a card, and a background service matches demand and supply by field, keywords, location, time and price. Every match opens a conversation between the two sides.

  • Free-text analysis with autocomplete, identification of a trade, service or resource, and a quality score for each phrasing
  • Background matching engine with hierarchical locations, keywords from a field tree, time and price
  • Chat, counters and dashboards updated in real time with SignalR
  • Separate card and conversation states for each side, with pause, archive and blocking
  • Several profiles per account, personal and business, with a choice of which details the other side sees
  • Hybrid mobile and web app, email notifications, and links that open the app on a phone or the browser on a computer

Questions

Before you choose a software house

Can I see systems you built in our field?
This page shows a selection. In the intro call we can show you systems close to your field, subject to confidentiality towards our clients.
Which technologies do you work with?
Most of the systems we have built in recent years are written in Node.js, with MongoDB for data and Angular on the front end, and React Native with Firebase on mobile. DocsRobot, for example, is built this way. We also have long experience with C# and .NET, using ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server: that is how TopContracts, Student-Room-Flat and other systems shown here are built. We have connected our systems to OpenAI, WhatsApp Business, payment providers, digital signatures and the EDIFACT standard. The full list is above, and the technology for your system is decided in the spec.
Do you build tablet and mobile apps?
Yes. For example an Android app for tallymen on vessels at the Port of Ashdod that keeps working offline, and iOS and Android apps for a student housing platform in Europe.
Who does the actual development?
Our team in India, which has worked with us since 2004, together with AI agents, under our management and responsibility. The spec, the management and the relationship with you stay with us.
The first step

One hour. No commitment.

At the end you will know what we understood, which questions are open, and what the spec will cost. If we think it is not worth building, we will say that too.

We reply within one business day. One hour, free, no commitment. Your details are used only to reply to you, as described in our privacy policy.
